Each item is tagged with the DNA Matrix™. The DNA Matrix combines identifiable DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) gene segments - the genetic material that defines the uniqueness of humans and every living organism - and unique optical labels into an ink (DNA Matrix™) that may then be applied as either a visible (overt) or invisible (covert) security marker on any tangible surface. These markers contain sufficient information to uniquely identify a product.
The DNA Encoded Genetic Markers are a virtually impenetrable line of defense. Oligomers (small sections of DNA) are assembled and encrypted. By arranging the As, Gs, Cs and Ts (the markers that make up the DNA alphabet) the number of variants possible in a DNA authentication mark is mind-boggling.
The DNA Matrix is virtually impossible to decode. Its components can be selectively shifted and recombined in an infinite variety of ways to meet your specific tracking and authentication requirements. Plus, the DNA Matrix is highly resistant to reverse engineering and can be used in conjunction with existing labels, serial numbers, holograms, and other marking systems for an even more cost-effective solution.
Each item undergoes a rigorous operations security procedure to develop the record of information that makes it unique. This record allows for positive identification of the item and includes but is not limited to - the DNA genetic code, a 32 digit alpha-numeric code that acts as a global unique identifier (GUID), the manufacturer, product origin, the inventory lot, SKU, serial number, a visual image of the item, and other security information like holograms, etc.
Through our secure, encrypted online database each and every item can be tracked throughout its product life cycle. From the moment pieces are manufactured, through distribution channels and into the hands of the end consumer, product authenticity can be managed using our Internet Authenticity Verification Protocol. This management information database is accessible through the Internet and available worldwide and can be tailored to your management information needs.
